This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our booking and scheduling Service ("Service"). This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Service, including business account holders ("Service Providers") and their customers ("End Users"). We respect the privacy of both groups and handle all personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

2.1 Information Service Providers Provide

When you create a business account, we collect:

• Business information (business name, phone number, address, website, logo)
• Service areas (zip codes, availability schedules)
• Service offerings and custom form fields
• Team member information
• Payment information (processed securely through third-party payment processors - we do not store full credit card numbers)

2.2 Information End Users Provide

When customers make bookings, we collect:

• Contact information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data (zip code, address)
• Booking details (service requested, preferred date/time)
• Custom form responses (job-specific information)
• File uploads (photos, documents) if provided

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you use our Service, we automatically collect:

• Device information (IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers)
• Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns)
• Log data (access times, error logs, system activity)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)

2.4 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from:

• Authentication providers (e.g., Google Sign-In)
• Payment processors (transaction status, not full payment details)

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers and databases located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, we may transfer your Personal Information to the United States and process it there. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States.

15. Beta Service Notice

ZipScheduler is currently in beta testing. While we implement industry-standard security measures, you acknowledge that the Service may have vulnerabilities, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information during this beta period.

16. Third-Party Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Google Sign-In, payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Third-party services we use include:

• Supabase (database and authentication)
• PayPro (payment processing)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Google Sign-In (authentication)
• Google Calendar (optional booking sync — see Section 17)

17. Google Calendar Integration

ZipScheduler offers an optional integration that adds a booking to your Google Calendar once it is assigned to you. It is off until you turn it on, and you connect it yourself from Settings.

What we ask for. We request the calendar.events scope only. This lets ZipScheduler create, read, and update events on the calendar you connect. It does not let us read your other calendars, your contacts, or anything in your Google Account outside of events, and we never ask for that.

What we store. The OAuth token Google issues when you connect, and the ID and email address of the calendar you chose. We use the token only to create and update the calendar events tied to your bookings. We do not read your existing calendar entries, and we do not use this data for advertising.

How long we keep it, and how to stop. The token is kept only while the connection stays on. Disconnecting it inside ZipScheduler, or removing ZipScheduler's access from your Google Account permissions page, deletes it and stops the sync immediately. Deleting your ZipScheduler account does the same.

ZipScheduler's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No AI or machine learning training. ZipScheduler does not use, retain or transfer any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs, including Google Calendar, to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Nor do we allow any third party to do so. ZipScheduler only writes booking events to the calendar you connect. It does not read your existing calendar events. Our optional AI writing features for customer emails never receive data from Google APIs.

18. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers have "Do Not Track" features that allow you to tell websites not to track you. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. However, you can manage cookies through your browser settings.

19. Business Transfers

If ZipScheduler is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
